A managing partner of Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey, Alex achieved Criminal Trial Advocacy Certification from the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 2014. He has extensive trial experience and has served as lead counsel on various cases involving murder, drug trafficking, criminal sexual conduct, criminal domestic violence and DUI.

He served as a prosecutor in Spartanburg and Greenville Counties before joining the firm in 2009. He was named partner in January of 2014.

Alex currently serves as a circuit representative on the Boards of the S.C. Association for Justice and S.C. Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Alex speaks regularly on various legal topics and has given presentations at the S.C Solicitor’s Conference, the S.C. Public Defenders Association Conference and the South Carolina Bail Agents Association annual meeting.
