Background and Experience
Mr. Breedlove is a Member of the Executive Board of the Saratoga County Bar Association, New York State Bar Associations (Insurance, Trial Lawyer’s, and Criminal Justice Sections), American Association of Justice (American Trial Lawyer’s Association), the Capital District Trial Lawyer’s Association and is a past member of the House of Delegates of the New York State Bar Association. Since 2002 he has served on a pro bono basis on the Board of Directors of the Shenendehowa Senior Citizens Center and is currently the President of the Board.
Lawyers are required to attend continuing legal education courses (CLE) on an annual basis. These specialized courses are taught by lawyers with a long track record of success and expertise which is widely recognized in the legal community. Mr. Breedlove has been a regular instructor at Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses offered by certified CLE providers such as the Capital District Trial Lawyer’s Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Saratoga and Albany County Bar Associations on diverse subject matter including “Cross Examination of Expert Witnesses”, “Accident Reconstruction”, “Seat Belt defense”, “Real Evidence” and “Ethics and Evidence”. He has also lectured on issues in Employment Discrimination and Sexual Harassment. He has been a featured speaker before the National Association of Document Examiners on issues of Handwriting Examination, Forgery and Fraud.
In Cote v. UPS, Mr. Breedlove recovered a verdict of $11,160,308.80 for a motorcyclist injured in a crash with a UPS truck. Both UPS and the local police blamed Mr. Cote, the motorcyclist for the accident. UPS spared no expense in trying to prove these claims. The Jury found UPS 100% liable for the accident and awarded the highest verdict in Warren County history. This verdict is believed to be the highest motorcycle accident award in the history of upstate New York.
