Background and Experience
Don graduated from law school in 2000 as a “second career” attorney. Having piloted B-52s in the USAF, and C-130s and C-141s in the TN Air National Guard, Don also flew as a commercial airline pilot. He retired from Northwest Airlines in 2005, where he was an active member of the Air Line Pilots Association and served in several leadership positions. After he left Northwest, Don clerked for U.S. District Judge Alia Moses in the Western District of Texas, followed by a stint at Motley Rice as an aviation attorney. He returned to Texas to clerk for Judge Moses and also served there as an Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuting drug, gun and immigration crimes, as well as public corruption cases. He joined the Savage Law Firm in 2012.
