Steve W. Sumner Attorney at Law, LLC

A native of Chicago, Erica graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 2004. During her studies at the University of Michigan, Erica was selected to work on special projects as a Research Assistant for two professors who are well known in the field of Criminal Law: Professor Yale Kamisar, researching the evolution of the Miranda decision regarding a suspect's right to counsel during interrogation, and Professor Samuel Gross, researching death penalty cases in cooperation with the Innocence Project.

After graduation, Erica moved to Chicago, where she practiced family law for a year and criminal defense for almost ten years.

Erica moved to Upstate South Carolina in 2014 and joined Steve as an Associate in 2015.
