Glass Defense Firm
Background and Experience
While attending the West Virginia University College of Law, Mr. Glass found his calling in the field of criminal defense and focused his attention in this field as a clerk at local criminal defense firm. Since graduating law school, Mr. Glass has dedicated himself to the field of criminal defense, while focusing heavily on defending clients accused of driving under the influence (DUI). Since graduating law school, Mr. Glass has represented clients accused of crimes such as murder, kidnapping, malicious wounding, burglary, assault and battery, and domestic battery. Mr. Glass has appeared in court in 45 of West Virginia’s 55 counties, as well as appearing before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.
While representing clients accused of all crimes, Mr. Glass found a special affinity for defending clients accused of DUI. Mr. Glass has handled well over 500 DUI cases throughout the state of West Virginia. He has regularly handled administrative license suspension hearings and has extensive experience appealing adverse rulings made by the DMV. Mr. Glass has completed extensive training in the area of drunk driving defense. He has been a member of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD) since he began practicing in 2005. Other memberships include the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the West Virginia Bar Association, and he is a founding member of the West Virginia DUI Defense Lawyers Association.
Shortly after being admitted to the practice of law, Mr. Glass was trained as a practitioner in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST’s) and holds a certificate of successful completion of the NHTSA/IACP course curriculum in that field. This is the same training that every officer in the state of West Virginia must go through at the State Police Academy. Mr. Glass is also one of only two attorneys in the entire state to be a trained breath test operator on the same breath machine used in West Virginia, the Intoximeter EC/IR.
In the Fall of 2011, Mr. Glass opened his own office, The Glass Defense Firm, which focuses solely on criminal defense in West Virginia, with an emphasis in DUI defense. Jason Glass and the Glass Defense Firm is the clear choice for criminal defense in West Virginia.
