Background and Experience
John E. Stang is a Kansas native who earned his J.D. from the Washburn University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Business Administration at the University of Kansas. He was admitted to practice law in 1988 and has maintained an active criminal practice since that time. In addition to being licensed in both the Federal and State courts of Kansas, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is an active member in the Wichita Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (Board of Governors 2010-Current), National College for DUI Defense and a Life Member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Stang lectures both in Kansas and throughout the country on the defense of persons accused of crimes. Mr. Stang has presented before the Wichita Bar Association, at the Washburn University, the Wichita Intervention Program, KTLA, KBA and the Kansas Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers.
