The Law Offices of John W. Beck

John Beck was born in Princeton, NJ and was raised in the Philadelphia, PA area. He graduated from Auburn University with a business degree and a minor in mathematics in addition to major class work in the engineering program. While attending law school in Virginia Beach, VA, he did summer work for several local cotton growers in Baldwin and the surrounding counties as a cotton scout and soon realized he would call South Alabama his home.

In 1995 John joined the Baldwin County District Attorney's office as a full-time prosecutor and handled all child sex-abuse, domestic violence, and juvenile cases. In 1998, John opened up his own law practice focusing exclusively on all matters of criminal defense. Over the past 11 years John has served as the regional vice-president for the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Secretary/Treasurer for the Mobile Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the president of the Baldwin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

John has handled many high-profile cases in Mobile and Baldwin Counties as well as several thousand felony and misdemeanor cases in our local court system.
John has recently been named to a select list of attorneys for inclusion as a 2010 inductee to "Best Lawyers" in America.
