Jemming is an experienced criminal defense, environmental and human rights attorney whose practice focuses on non-violent and violent criminal defense, and environmental matters. Prior to entering solo-practice, Jonathan served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Utah and as Assistant Borough Attorney for the North Slope Borough in Barrow, Alaska. Jonathan has represented individual clients at every stage of the civil and criminal process, including trials, evidentiary hearings, pre-charge negotiations, as witnesses testifying, and on appeal. Jonathan’s criminal practice is wide ranging, from DUI and traffic related offenses, to large scale controlled substance possession matters and drug-trafficking. In addition to his criminal defense experience, Jonathan also has significant environmental litigation and compliance experience. He has litigated and or otherwise been involved in cases involving a broad range of environmental statutes, including the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Endangered Species Act and NEPA. He has also worked in the Office of Governor Jon M.Huntsman in advising the governor and state leaders on regulatory matters relating to public lands in the State of Utah.
