The Law Office of Michael Salkind

Michael Salkind graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1993, and immediately dedicated his career to defending those accused of crimes and serious traffic offenses. He began with the Colorado Public Defender in Jefferson County, and, in 1994, was transferred to the El Paso County office and assigned a Juvenile Defense caseload. Later, in District Court (felony court), Michael defended every type of charge, including First Degree Murder. Michael left the Public Defender in 1996 to join a Criminal Defense firm, and then became a sole practitioner in 1999. Michael is or has been a member of the boards of Justice Watch and the ACLU, and has donated his time to such organizations as the Teen Court Mentoring Program.
