Nathan is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and obtained his juris doctorate at the Nashville School of Law. Before graduating law school, he was employed as a judicial magistrate in his hometown of McMinnville, Tennessee. Shortly thereafter, Nathan spent time as the DUI Coordinator for the District Attorney's Office in Williamson County, Tennessee. After finishing law school, Nathan spent time as a DUI prosecutor for Williamson, Hickman, Lewis, and Perry counties.

Nathan has extensive experience in the area of DUI law. As a DUI prosecutor, Nathan has conducted several jury trials, hearings, and participated in officer training programs.
