After graduating from law school Mr. Wegener worked at the YWCA of Pierce County in the legal services department as a staff attorney. He represented primarily Spanish speaking victims of domestic violence in legal matters ranging from criminal hearings, to protection order hearings and dissolution. He is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. In 2010 he was a lecturer at the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar & Criminal Law Section's annual Criminal Law seminar, where along with David Gehrke he presented a Uncertainty in Scientific Evidence in DUI Cases.
